My Vent of the Day - Wendy's
Ok, I have been craving fast food for most of my pregnancy, but have been really good about avoiding it lately.
I've been craving Wendy's for the last 2 weeks and I finally got to go last night (after having to work late - Ok, it was V-Day, not very romantic, but the baby wanted it!).
I go to the same Wendy's I always go to and ordered the same thing I always do - #1 Value Meal plain with nothing on it (yes, I don't like ketchup, mayo, tomatoes or pickles). I ordered as usual, saw my order on the screen (#1 plain), paid the cashier, picked up my food and went home.
Of course, when I get home and open my burger, its got all the fixings on it!!! YUCK! My receipt showed my order as plain too, so somewhere somebody at my local Wendy's screwed up.
I was so Usually stuff like this doesn't bother me, but I guess I was looking so foward to this and they messed up and I was home and tired and cranky and my meal wasn't right and URGH!
Sorry, just had to vent. And this is how Wendy's ruined my day.
And of course this reminds me of the scene from Lethal Weapon 2 with Joe Pesci and how they always f**k you at the drive-thru because they know you'll be miles away before you realize you've been f**cked!

ugh, that stinks. Wendy's is notorious for doing this. No matter which one I'm at they always screw something up with my order. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy your fast food.

Re: My Vent of the Day - Wendy's
Aaww that would really send me over the edge, especially these days.
I remember having a little fit about something similar years ago when I got screwed at the drive-thru and my dad saying "well if these people were super qualified and competent, wouldn't they have gone out and gotten other jobs and you would have some other dumbazz messing up your order in their place." That can be viewed as snotty depending who says it and how they mean it, but he was right.
Sorry your Wendy's excitement was ruined.

oooo that always gets me so mad!!!!!!
If it makes you feel any better, I just got chinese food, chicken and snow peas...there was approximately 4 pieces of cut up chicken and 5 gazillion snow pea pods. Oh, and I ordered won ton soup...they gave me 3 of the smallest won tons I have ever seen. 3...how is that supposed to feed me?

Joe Pesci wa sright. Jerks. Once, when I was a vegetarian, when we got home I noticed that my burrito had meat in it. I wa sso pisssed. Every time I go to TB, I count the items in my bag befor eleaving, but you can't open up and investigate!
Oh and the other day I got Burger King, and at the window, I asked the girl- "is the onion ring sauce in here?" "She snips- "It's in there"., She was a filthy liar.

Yeah, they should have realized I was a crazed preggo in need of some serious fast food!
Of course DH's order was correct!
I was unfulfilled and will have to take my chances again with Wendy's next week.

Re: My Vent of the Day - Wendy's
It probably would've made me cry these days.
Just think that some poor sap probably got a plain #1 expecting a #1 with all the fixings. At least s/he had to suffer too!

Re: My Vent of the Day - Wendy's
OMG!!!!! I hate when that happens. What a bummer!
Luckily, my last experience with fast food which took place last night was a success. Whopper meal from BK - no mayo! I was shocked the remembered. Typically they don't and then I wind up throwing the whole thing out since I will not touch anything that has had mayo even in the same 10 feet.

Re: My Vent of the Day - Wendy's
Now when I go I have to check my bag to make sure the order is right! I don't care if the driver behind me is honking his/her horn!
I have lost my faith and trust with Wendy's
If I wasn't preggo, I probably wouldn't have made such a big deal out of all of this!
Well it is pizza tonight - so I know that won't get screwed up!
Man, I'm starving right now!! Image Attachment(s):

My DH started out as the drive-in guy at McDonald's in HS. He quickly got promoted to manager (his friends called in Calvin). At his McDonald's (which was in a bad part of town), they had a prison work-release program. He usually assigned the inmates to drive-through duty! You just reminded me of that!

Seeeeeee? Your DH was qualified and competent so they promoted him to manager even in HS. He was not messing up orders, so they rushed him out of there and replaced him w/ prisoners.
