Don't want to offend anyone
but are there any bigger girls here? I'm currently overweight (I'm big but I don't consider myself like severely obese) and was wondering if I'm going to look huge and not pregnant. I know, weird question. In a way I wanna lose weight real quickly just so I can look pregnant. haha I'm dumb

Well I am not overweight but I totally know how you feel. I have been really careful not to totally let myself go during this first trimester because I don't want to end up looking huge I want to look pregnant. (And I don't want to stay big after baby...see my other thread on planning on being in the best shape of my life PP LOL)
You will look pregnant and beautiful I promise! It just might take a little longer to actually "show". That's how it was for my friend who is plus size compared to some friends who aren't.

I'm also a big girl, but not obese.
So far, I have only gained 10 pounds (17 weeks), so I think I will end up looking PG and not just fat. It's early to tell though....I think if you can control the early weight gain you should be fine.

I'm on the bigger side, but not obese! At 26 weeks, I def look preggers...unless I'm wearing a big sweatshirt or something. I started to eat healthy...not less, just healthier and so far I've only gained 10 pounds.

eh, I'm frankly not worried about how I look.... my theory is, pregnancy isn't about appearances, it's about the amazing development of a new human being.
Also, my obstatrician hands out a sheet with expected total weight gain during pregnancy according to starting weight (underweight, normal, overweight, obese).... the heavier you are in the beginning, the less you are expected to gain... underweight = 40 lbs, normal = 30-35, overweight = 20-25, obese = 15-20
I think it all balances out in the end....
