I was pretty much disgusted with Randal initially after last night, after pulling for him all season. But I am getting more annoyed at the bad hair buffoon for putting Randal in that position. It should not have been put to Randal as a possibility.
How many times have we had to answer something quickly without a real chance to think, go with our first instinct and then really think about it more and wish we'd done things differently? I know that has happened to me more than once.
I think Trump did that because he thought how Randall was portrayed to be...Mr. Nice and Humble. I don't think he really expected Randall's decision. It's true that there are times when we make decisions and wish we had done things differently but this is someone he had worked with and whom he said he respected....and he was already the clear cut winner....why not share?

Personally I don't think Trump is going to allow someone he just hired to make a decision on whether or not he is hiring Rebecca.....If he wants her she has already been offered a job.

AND I still think that Randal might have felt like Trump's question was "a trick" and that perhaps if he said "yes Mr. Trump, hire Rebecca" that Trump might be trapping him , and/or might turn around fire him (he's done stuff like that in the boardroom before)
This season Trump was totally unpredictable, I kinda do not blame Randal for doing what he did 
i agree. i had a feeling that trump intended to hire both candidates but randal was caught completely off guard. he was experiencing the high of his life i don't think he fully understood what trump was proposing.
i was surprised that he was so harsh on rebecca during the end of the interview. i admire rebecca for her calm and professional demeanor.

2. As the show says, "nothing personal" This is business, with a big job and money on the line. You have to do what you have to do to get the job done. The nice guy finishes last

That was my feeling too! I would have liked to have seen Randal be more gracious, but after I thought about it, if he wanted to hire Rebecca too, it really isn't up to Randal.
I think he just didn't want to belittle the title of 'apprentice', otherwise he probably could have given Kwame from first season the job too! (wasn't he the runner up? I think?)

I think too many are quick to jump and say that Randal is insenstive or an azz for doing what he did. I don't believe that at all, I still like Randal as much as I did all season. And YES he felt that last night was "his night" and that maybe down the line Rebecca SHOULD be hired (and most likely, she will be)
Hey it was live TV.. Randal was surprised and shocked by the question... maybe he felt set up or that it was a 'trick' question, or maybe not.. but bottom line is that he felt he SHOULD be THE APPRENTICE (ONE) and noone was going to steal his thunder.. so kudos to him then!
Maybe on the one hand he did not feel he should say "yes" to hiring Rebecca also .. but at the same time (upon further thought) perhaps he might have thought otherwise.. I dont think it was a lack of respect for Rebecca on Randals part. And I think if Trump posed the question differently (or BEFORE he "hired" Randal) Randal might have been more receptive to the idea of them both being hired.. We'll never know though, will we?

Absolutely!!! And if I can add one thing.... I don't know if Randal meant to do this but I think his response saved the show on a money making end for Trump. By answering that way, he already made Trump money... Trump is the tough guy with no heart. He doesn't care if you go in a cab crying.... That is the allure of the show... There is only one Apprentice... These are coveted positions- he is not giving him away like candy--- If he had hired both, it would have cheapend the show.... What's next- not hiring anyone.... People love the unexpected.... If I had woken up this morning to hear he hired both, I would have been like- "how lame!"... Would you really watch next season if Randal said yes, hire Rebecca?? I think it was a cool ending in a way.... JMO....

I think each show should be viewed as one.....I really don't recall but I don't think in any of the other shows he fired 4 candidates all at once...so to me, this show gave the unexpected...and if two apprentice can be hired...hey why not.....

hmm, interesting concept. i think this is a GREAT idea although i am not too sure how receptive the apprentice "runner-ups" would be to this.

To me personally, it’s all about egos….He was already the apprentice and the chosen one. The spotlight was already on him….sharing some of it in my opinion was not going to take anything away from his merits, his work, or his performance.
Yes, they all worked very hard but in the last task…how much more impressive was Randall? How much more impressive was Rebecca?
I don’t have any doubt that she will be working in the future in the Trump Organization…..
They both worked hard in their own projects and were able to master whatever blocks they had and thank those that worked with them. I don’t think that by sharing the prize she was taking anything from him or vice versa. I read somewhere that one’s greatness and real character is not only shown by enjoying the spotlight and the glory but also in sharing and bringing together those elements that will make us even more successful, not only to our pleasing egos but also to those who look up to us. You share your success and you, in turn, will become even more successful. It’s not exactly to the T but you get the idea. I think personally that is how Randall should have acted last night but that’s just me. I’m certain there are many others who share your view as well. I guess that’s why they called it “a world with different views”….best of part of it, we are all entitled to our feelings and our thoughts and opinions. And we can always make the best of it.
Does anyone know if they is going to be another season or will the show be cancelled?

Yes, I read that they are taping the next season but are taping it in CALIFORNIA .. not too thrilled with that.
I understand the change of scenery and shaking the show up a bit.. BUT to me, Donald Trump is ALL about NY.. its the city he loves!
California just does not "fit" to me
