Politics, but not controversial

I just have to say that I am REALLY excited about the amazing turnout all of these primaries have had. It's such a shame that so many people don't vote and I'm glad to see that changing especially among youth!

I think the average age for the 2004 election was something like 55. I'm glad to see young people voting and caring. I hope the trend continues to the national election.

Also, there was an editorial or an op-Ed I forget which in the times that said we should lower the voting age to 16, but like driving, to vote at 16 you need to take a civics test. To vote at 18 no test is required. What do you think?

Ok..so maybe I ended up being a little controversial.

Not a bad idea but I think it would be very difficult to get a 16 year old to take a test that is not required by his/her school. I wonder if they would be that internally motivated.

That's the idea behind it. only the kids who are really motivated will vote.

Here in VA they're saying it's record high voter turnout.

Probably because the Primary hasn't mattered so much in over 25 years.
