What do you do when someone backstabs you?
i am really ******!!! i work with this crazy women who is on the internet all day reporting celebrity news and hardly does anything in the office. but i keep it to myself and don't say anything. i just saw her typing an email to her friend saying that "i am a beyotch and she can't stand me because i complain all the time!" i had expressed to my boss the other day that i need some extra help because i am getting busier. so my boss is gonna change around some of the office duteis, no biggie. i am so shocked, this women has been so nice to me since day one and now she completely backstabbed me! i am so mad! i feel like telling her off

I would def. confront her about it. Call a meeting between you, her & your boss. Not to be catty to to be professional. Because seriously, how childish is she. I would tell her that I saw her writing this e-mail and that you don't appreciate her ruining your reputation amog other co-workers.

i know...but i would confront them anyway.
I know it may put a train on the working relationship but IMO there will be one anyway and this may stop her/him from doing this again
ESPECIALLY if they are embarassed

personally I would let it go, if that email is to a personal friend, who does not work in your office....
... but if that email is to a friend who works with you, then I would confront her.
Unfortunately, I've learned that those who are super sweet to your face are the ones that you should really keep an eye out for

I would just let it go... sometimes when I am having a bad day everything annoys me... I make a big deal out of everything.. so maybe she is just having one of those days and just venting...

I think I would let it go, and watch my back in the future. You could confront her, but what would you say? That you saw that she wrote an email about you to her friend? It sounds like she might actually enjoy the drama.

I'd confront her but this will only between you and her. I really cannot pretend liking or not liking someone especially if you backstabbed me, I'd let you know that I know. That way we are on the same page and we only have to deal with each other professionally......

I absolutely agree. If it were being said around the office or to my boss thats another thing. To her friend, let it be. I try to keep my home friends home and my work friends at work. The 2 dont always mix and when it comes to my job, I need it, so I like to keep things job related at the job. Like someone else said keep your eyes and ears open. If she persists in the office then confront.
