Should I bid on this?

I can get it new from shopbop and eluxury for $175. I could get it on ebay for cheaper probably, but here' s the thing:
Even though it is "new", the age listed is from 2000-now, which is 8 years. If I bought it from eluxury or shopbop, wouldn't it be from 2008, and would that be better? Or do you think that the new ones from eluxury and shopbop are the same batch from 2000? What would you do? Buy it for a little more $$$ since it is actually new? Or save money and buy an 8 year old watch? I just don't know how online stores work. Is all their merchandise new as in made in 2008?

I would ask the seller b/c when you list a watch - you are only given a few options for age
it's a drop down box and the last one is 2000- now
I don't think that means it from 2000

I don't think that means it from 2000 I agree with Beth. I sold a watch once and remember that drop down option.
