Crib Matress..did i get ripped off?
I payed $319 for my matress, i just read baby bargains, and I think i got ripped off..but i think i can still return it.
It's a Colgate, Monarch.

I bought a Colgate #135 Ultimate Mattress for my daughter's crib and I paid $279.99 for it.
IMO, Colgate mattress are very good mattresses and I do not think you got ripped off. They are good quality and I am sure you want quality.

Obviously it's a personal decision, but I bought the Classica one that Baby Bargains recommends. It was $139 I believe. I showed BBB my receipt from having bought the crib & dresser there so I got to use the $60 off coupon. So, mine was REALLY reasonable.

We are ordering ours with our furniture at Behr's. Because we ordered a complete set they gave us the mattress for $100 off so the total was $69.

We also followed the Baby Bargains advice...(Foam mattress over coil and very firm.) I think ours with the 60.00 coupon from BBB was about 80.00.
Very reasonable, we thought. 
If you are concerned about getting ripped off on future purchases I highly reccomend buying the book! It has really helped us to see what we need and what is just not necessary when making baby purchases.

Maybe a little bit over, but it's apersonal choice. Mine was around $200 (give or take) from what I remember. the mattress is designed for stages, infant side and toddler side. The infant side is water resistant plastic like cover and firm, the other side is clothe like and softer.
