Ricky's NYC?
Has anyone been to this store? They are opening one in Huntington village where Bombay was.
I went to their website, but it didn't really go into detail about anything.....

Re: Ricky's NYC?
This is a good descrip I found on the Web:
Profile
Remember what it felt like the first time Mom let you play with her makeup, when you wanted to wear all the lipstick, paint your nails ten different colors, and simultaneously use both the eyelash curler and hair-straightening iron? Such is the rush of any one of Ricky’s seventeen Manhattan locations. Despite its glittering walls and selection of fabulously fake wigs, Ricky’s is far more than a paramount venue to discover your inner drag queen. The store takes the best (and, let’s face it, most important) parts of your local drugstore -- the cosmetics, hair, and bath products -- and expands them exponentially, to staggering proportions. Hair-product brands generally found only in salons or higher-end stores -- names like Nexxus, KMS, Kerastase, and Lanza -- abound, while Burt’s Bees and Tom’s of Maine merchandise ensures that the greenest will be satisfied. Upstairs, check out the fun clothing and accessories, including body glitter, temporary and henna tattoos, and multiple varieties of double-stick tape, most embracing a teen-queen aesthetic. — Andrew Sessa

They HAVE make-up but like actor/actress/drag queen make-up! lol they have a risque dept with naughty stuff.. they have a hair section with all different hair products, hair dyes products, hair irons/blowdryers, etc. they have AWESOME halloween costumes.
It's like beauty supply meets spencers gifts LOL

Re: Ricky's NYC?
Love this store! What's better than a store that sells high-end hair products, Essie nail polish, funky t-shirts, and PORN!!!! At least the one on 5th and 43rd (?) does!!!

Re: Ricky's NYC?
sounds like an interesting store but doesn't really fit the huntington village "mold". curious to see how they do.

I don't know what Ulta is, but they have costume jewelry, bath and body stuff, hair products, make-up (not high end), accessories. things like that.
That being said, it's not my type of store. It's cool to look around, but I am not a fan of "one stop shop" types of places. I would rather go to Sephora, Layla Rowe, etc.

Re: Ricky's NYC?
They have EVERYTHING for hair from wigs to every product imaginable. They have a bunch of body stuff, candles. Come Halloween time they have an amazing selection. And the ones in the city also have an adult section.
