Can someone who celebrates Hanukah help?
I have a new boss and I just found out she is Jewish. I planned on giving her a candle gift set for the holiday season. I want to kiss a little more butt though.....and I know she and her family enjoy skiing. Before I knew she celebrated Hanukah I was going to get her an ornament of Santa skiing or something like that but now I cant. Is there anything else appropriate I can get her that might involve the holiday and skiing?

There really isn't anything to do with Chanukah that you would find with skiing, so I think you could just get her something for skiing. Unless you wanted to try and find a menorah that had skiers on it or something - there are literally menorahs decorated with everything, so I'm sure you could find something online, but that's going to be mucho bucks!

what about a cool vintage pair of Freezie Freakies??!! Depends how old she is...
Honestly-- just a nice gift-- what about a cashmere ski hat or something? You can probably find something nicely priced online at Overstock or Smart Bargains or something..

Hannukah is actually a very minor holiday in the Jewish religion- its just big here because its teh same time as Christmas. Its the celebration of miracles- one that we won a war when we were vastly outnumbered and two- that we had enough oil to light the menorah for 1 night and it lasted eight. The only Hannukah "gifts" one could get are candles for the menorah, a menorah, a dreidle, or chocolate gelt (chocolate coins). Other than that, I would get whatever you would get someone for a birthday gift.
ETa: Or you can get a dreidel with candy inside. But that is not very ski oriented.

Thanks so much ladies.....I heard her on the phone with her daughter talking about getting her something from Abercrombie so I am sure that she and her family exchange lots of gifts.
Shes being a ****** today so all shes getting is a Yankee Candle!
