i have always said febuary but i always spell it february, it think it just sounds weird when said correctly
i have to add i don't say feb oo ary i say feb you ary

Same.
I actually think both feb oo ary and feb RU ary sound affected... but it's probably b/c I'm just so used to hearing people say feb you ary.

The loss of the first r in this pronunciation can be accounted for by the phonological process known as dissimilation, by which similar sounds in a word tend to become less similar. In the case of February, the loss of the first r is also owing to the influence of January, which has only one r.
So either one is correct.

I say Feb U ary. I actually had someone say that it is the "uneducated" way to say it and I was really annoyed. All of my teachers always said it that way, how was I supposed to know the difference? And now if I change, I will be called pretentious.

I try to stick to FeBRUary, but lots of times I do the FeBYOUary. It doesn't bother me either way. But I have to say, I don't like LIBERRY at all...and I hate jeWLEry. It's jeWELry.
