so, when do you normally have Dr. appt's?
we had an emergency appt at 4 weeks.... and saw the sac...
but the first standard appt will be at 8 weeks (next monday )
Then I know there's a 12 week apt... when they usually do the ultrascreening?
After that??????
How often do you go? once a month?

I went once a month up until 30 weeks then it was every two weeks and then once I hit 36 weeks it was every week.

Re: so, when do you normally have Dr. appt's?
If that goes well with the 12 week ultrascreening , and they basically determine there is minimal risk of abnormalities, what are the milestones at the later visits?
are they just monitoring weight gain, and baby size/gender at later sono's? or are there other significant screenings I don't know about?
sorry for all the questions.... I just realized I have no idea what to expect!

Re: so, when do you normally have Dr. appt's?
The next sono that you should have would be your level II where they make sure that the baby is developing properly. They will take measurements of limbs, brain, stomach... everything.
Then you will have your GD test right around the 20 week mark as well.
Then toward the end of your PG u will have your growth sono where the doctor will make an estimate to the baby's weight.
Other than that they should be regular checkups - BP, weight, protein in urine, and listening to the baby's heart with the doppler.

GD is gestational diabetes. You can usually find out the gender at your Level II
