Those who had lap surgeries....
how long from the time you agreed to do your laparoscopy was the actual surgery. I am being told its not going to happen quickly because apparently the ambulatory rooms are backed up.
Thanks

Re: Those who had lap surgeries....
I think it depends on the doctors office and where the amb surg procedure is done.

It also depends on your cycle.
I did mine in two weeks. When I went in for my doctor visit, I was exactly where I was suppose to be in regards to my cycle.

Re: Those who had lap surgeries....
I booked my surgery (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, D and C and tubal lavage) on the same day as my original appointment with my RE. It was made for 2 weeks later at the ambulatory surgery center that is right above NSUH. Coincidentally, I happened to be ovulating that day.

When during your cycle is this performed?

They will want to ensure they you are not pregnant. They put me on birth control for 2weeks. I am not sure if other girls had to go on BCP

Re: Those who had lap surgeries....
5 days Doc said I needed it on a Friday, and I had it the next Wednesday. The reason he rushed it was because I was exactly where I needed to be in my cycle, and otherwise I'd have to wait another month. Hospital rooms weren't an issue though.

Re: Those who had lap surgeries....
Thanks to all who replied. Just yesterday I got a call and they set up my surgery for the end of the month. I think I panic and so did DH. He asked for me to call them back and ask for March. So I did. Looks like surgery is on a lot quicker than i though.
