there is nothing wrong with not liking being pregnant!! some women do, some women don't. i have my days, too - it's the end result that's important. just because you don't like the way you feel now does not make you a bad mommy!!

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
Although I'm grateful to be pregnant and I'm really looking forward to my baby, I can't say that I'm enjoying pregnancy either. And you're definitely not alone with being worried about childbirth...I think most of us are!

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
This is my second pregnancy and I'm still a bit scared to deliver this baby. The one thing I can say though is that by the end, you will just want to have your baby. Your body and mind will take over you'll be surprised at how well you can handle it. And, if there are any complications (I'm still scared to have a c-section since I had a vaginal delivery) you should still be ok. Woman go through this ALL the time all over the world.

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
Yes!! I'm terrified. As my day gets closer, I keep having dreams that I'm in the hospital (either in my room, or somewhere in the hospital) and I know I've had the baby, but I have no memory of it.

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
I am so scared of having this baby that I broke out in tears during our hospital visit when they took us in to see a L&D room!!!! I am hoping that when that day comes, somehow, the female-mom instinct will kick in and I will be OK. I can't even think about it without tearing up.

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
oh yes. I was terrified with my first pregnancy. However I didn't let it damper my pregnancy. Like i tell everyone, your fears are set aside without even realizing it when you are in labor. Something kicks in while you are in the process and all your fears are gone. It's a very surreal moment and everything goes so fast. It will be over before you know it.... Even if it's a long labor. Again, with this one I a nervous b/c I had such a great labor/delivery (well compared to the pregnancy itself). So, I can only wish i get so lucky again.
you'll be ok, it's normal....

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
Ignorance is bliss, oh due date twin. I refuse to think about it. But you know what- it has to happen. But worrying about it won't make things easier. I will confront the fact that it must happen while it is happening. And then I will ask for the epidural.

Re: I'm sure this has been mentioned
I actually just started to be afraid. I think it's because I'm up to the part in my PG books where they are starting to describe the labor and delivery process and it freaked me out.
I was blissfully ignorant before, but all the talk of mucus plugs, bloody shows, epidurals, episiotomy, etc., has really started to freak me out.
I hope these birth prep classes help!
