OB recommendation Nassau?

Hi there!

I'm 12 weeks pregnant, and very unhappy with the OB I was seeing.
I thought I had found the right practice: only 2 doctors and 1 midwife, affiliated with good hospitals, but they had an odd policy: basically, no husbands allowed to pre-natal appointments (except for a quick word at the very end!).
I am not having an easy pregnancy, and I need my husband there with me for support. This was standard with our previous OB when I was pregnant with our daughter.
Can anyone recommend a warm, personable doctor - preferably in a smaller practice?

Wow, that's so strange - I would not like that AT ALL. I go to All Women's in Garden City - I think the address is 700 Stewart Avenue, GC (near Burlington). I wouldn't say that they are smaller but there are three doctors - two men and one woman. I like them all actually. We just moved back to LI in May and I soon after became pregnant. I already had a son when we lived elsewhere but obviously we had to change doctors. I was so nervous because my last practive was very intimate but I have been very happy so far.

Dr. Hanauer - Garden City - on Old Country Rd.

You can search her name on here - she has TONS of referrals.

I go to Dr. Trongone in Manhasset I love him....But the wait sometimes is just crazy(the waiting room) But he is just great !

I go to Dr. Hanauer and Dr. Dolisi in Garden City. They are affiliated with Winthrop.

I go to Dr. Hanauer in Garden City as well. She is affliated with Winthrop. DH comes with me to every appt and is allowed to be in the room. She's a wonderful Dr and so is the staff.

This docter office was referred to me and I have been very happy there.. They allow your husbands and childern if you have any, and also the wait is short and the staff is very freindly..

I go to Dr. Gomes on Franklin Ave in Garden City. He is wonderful....very understanding and patient. My husband goes to all appointments and my mom has even come. The entire office is extremely friendly and helpful and the sonogram tech Jackie is amazing. FM me if you want the number.
