Such a long wait...
Ugh, i just made my first Dr. appt and it isn't until March 3rd! I'll be 8 weeks by then (which i know is common, but still). I do have my initial consultation with the nurse practitioner this coming tuesday though, but that's only for bloodwork. I can't believe I have to wait that long to see what's going on in there.

Re: Such a long wait...
My doc saw me at 4 weeks and a couple of days and it was almost pointless. All we did was bloodwork. First sono was at 8 which I thought would take a lifetime to get to but boy was it worth the wait!

Re: Such a long wait...
I had a minor scare and saw the Dr. at 5 weeks.... all we could see on a sono was a sac..... so we really do have to wait until 7+ weeks to get a good sono with a heartbeat...
this wait is taking FOREVER

That's actually what i'm afraid of. I'm going to a new doctor that I've never met before so what do I do if i have a scare and need to see her? I am worried that she won't care since I'm not technically a patient of hers yet.

Re: Such a long wait...
that's EXACTLY what happened to me.... they took me anyway!
As long as you have an appt with them, you're 'in'
OB/GYN's know very well how stressed us first trimester girls are... a Dr. in the group called me back within 5 min of making the emergency appt (they took me immediately), and said I should stay calm, and she will do everything she can to help me through this and answer my questions....

In my experience, the first trimester drags. The second flies by..
