Adding to our brood
Within the year, DH and I would like to add another dog to our family. We have a puggle that will be 2 in May so we would like a 2-3 yr old dog to be a companion to him. We also have 2 cats. We need a dog that is good with animals and people (b/c we’d like to eventually add a two-legged little one to our family as well!) and one that is high energy! Our puggle can outplay almost every dog he comes in contact with so we need our new addition to be just as playful. That’s super important! We would like to rescue, but are not opposed to breeders. Last night DH said he would absolutely adore a Bernese Mountain Dog. This was news to me! I never thought about getting a big dog (and big to me is like 50lbs) Anyone have a BMD? Any suggestions for places I can research them? Since we’re looking to adopt in late summer/early fall I have plenty of time to really research the breed and also take time to bring my puggle to meet some. I want it to be a seamless integration b/c I think we need one more dog to be complete

That was my initial thought, but DH really wants a BMD so I thought I'd look into it. Since we've been thru it with Bowser, we have a good sense of what puggles are like so i'm spending time researching breeds i'm not familiar with.
