WW Point Question - Show me your menus
Hi...I started WW yesterday and have a question.
I am currently allowed 19 points for the day and I am having a hard time coming up with a variety of food. I find myself coming very close or going over my daily points.
Is anyone else in the 19 point range?? If so what are you eating at each meal??

Re: WW Point Question - Show me your menus
I am way more than 19 but an idea of what would meet your points:
Breakfast: 4.5 total frozen hash brown (3) 5 or 6 egg whites (1.5) spinach (0)
Snack: Apple (1)
Lunch: 6 or 7 total depending on the bread Large salad (0) oil & vinegar (1) seasonings to taste (0) toasted WW bagel (2) OR 2 slices WW bread (1) 3oz turkey (2) cheese (1) 1 tbsp Lt ranch (1)
Dinner: 8 total grilled chicken (3) pasta (4) steamed veggies (0) salad (0) oil & vinegar (1)
That's somewhere around 18 points. YOu can always have half the pasta, or 1.2 c of rice and add some snacks
You can get rid of the hash brown and have a 1 pt light english muffin and save 2 points. Then for a snack you can have a 100 calorie pack or 1 pack of oatmeal.
Good luck!!

Re: WW Point Question - Show me your menus
I started out with 19 points and now only get 18 points/day plus the 35 flex points.
It's very rare that I eat only 18 points a day - that's hard to live on. I actually find when I eat a little more- maybe 2-3 points over the 18-point target I actually lose more weight than the weeks I strictly limit myself. I also go to the gym 3-4 days a week and earn activity points that way.
A sample menu would be:
Breakfast - 2 slices light whole wheat bread or a light english muffin with a teaspoon of peanut butter, cream cheese, or a laughing cow light cheese wedge. -Piece of fruit
Mid-Morning - I sometimes have a snack such as 3 Wasa 7-grain light crisps (1 point) or cut-up veggies
Lunch - A Kashi frozen entree (ranging from 5-6 points) - pretty good for frozen meals and have a ton of fiber and protein.
Mid-Afternoon Snack - 110 Cal Pria Bar (2 points) or a piece of fruit or a small container of unsweetened applesauce (1 point), ot 100 Cal Pack of crackers or cut-up veggies
Dinner - Usually a 3-4 oz piece of lean protein (fish, chicken, ground white meat turkey burger, 93% lean ground beef) -Veggies -A "good" carb such as a small or medium sweet potato, brown rice
-Somtimes I'll also have a cup of whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce and veggies for another example of dinner.
After dinner snack - a cup of sugar free hot cocoa or 100-Cal Smart Pop popcorn 94% fat free or a WW 1-point fudge pop
Gym is usually 30-40 minutes moderate intensity on the eliptical trainer and 20 minutes of strength training.
