at 5W5D i saw a sac and a spec, and the faintest sign of a HB.
when is your appointment?

I just had a 5 week sono, and only saw a sac.... I think you can begin to see a spec if it's the 2nd half of the fifth week....

I had my first internal sono this past Monday at 5w5d and all we were able to see was the gestational sac. It looks like a little black dot. We are going back again next Monday and we'll hopefully be able to see the heartbeat. I will be 6w5d. Can't wait!!

We saw a small blob with a heartbeat, but it was too soon to hear it. Even though it wasn't in the form of a "baby" it was still really cool.

This is my U/S from 7 weeks, the baby is the "blob" towards the top. We could see the heartbeat flickering on the screen and heard it too.
My scanner isn't working, so I took a picture of the picture, the quality is better on the actual picture. Image Attachment(s):

5 weeks - blob (sac and yolk sac)
6 weeks - blob w/ a heartbeat
7 weeks - started to look like something with a heartbeat.
