What doesn't Insurance Cover?
A few years ago, DH had an appendectomy and ended up paying about $1000 in bills that were not covered by insurance.
All in - how much do you end up paying out of pocket to give birth naturally vs C-section?
FYI - I have Oxford Freedom plan.

Re: What doesn't Insurance Cover?
Your best bet is to just call the insurance company, tell them you are pg and the hopsital you plan on delivering at.
Ask them what your plan covers (epidural, other pain med, how long of a hospital stay) and ask what your deductible is.

Re: What doesn't Insurance Cover?
it really depends on your specific plan coverage. when i had my DS i don't think i really paid for anything. since then we have a new insurance plan, which only covers 90% of maternity and newborn care.

Re: What doesn't Insurance Cover?
I have GHI. I read that there is a $300 deductible for maternity care regardless of what method you give birth with.
