So, it's 4:52 Vegas time...
I'm really hungry
I am thinking about driving 15 minutes to go get a bagel.....
The only good NY bagel place in town.

seriously.... i finally found ONE place.... and only ONE place that actually offers NY bagels.
i think that they bring in NY water to make them....
ugh - the trials and tribulations that I go through for good food here..... lol
that's the thing with our pizzeria too..... we ship in the dough from the East coast.... can't use anything from here or make it here - it tastes like CR@P!!!!!!!!!!

u aren't kidding - we actually have customers that will call in their order a half hour ahead of time b/c they are driving from the next town or 2 over!!!
they constantly beg us to open more locations closer to them....

The pizzeria is called East Side Pizza....
it's here in Vegas almost in Summerlin....
We have people driving out sometimes from Henderson, Green Valley, Lake Las Vegas, and always have customers coming from the East side of town to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd drive it for something good!
I had the same problem in AZ. I used to drive to the next town over to get a good bagel.
I have found tollerable bagels in NC, but nothing really good!

I drive half an hour to get "as-close-to-NY-style-pizza" that I can get here in Virginia. TRUST ME - no where CLOSE to the real stuff but it has to do!!! The things we do for a little taste from home!!!
