Well, I don't live in NYC but I don't see a reason why people would not vaccinate their pets for rabies. My cats are all indoors, but they all have their rabies shots. What if one of them got out?

I agree, plus in NYC it is the law. $200 fine.

My cats aren't vaccinated against rabies, but there isn't any rabies in the country where I live (and doubtful that it will ever get here). When we move out of here, we will have to get that.
