I really dislike him and I don't want to go
DH's friend is getting married in March and he was asked to be a sponsor. I got the invite yesterday by hand after we saw him and the names of the sponsors and groomsmen and other notables are in the invite.
DH's name is spelled wrong. We know this guy for 20 years. But, that's not the main thing, I'm just annoyed by that.
The wedding is going to be an over the top spectacle..
i don't like this guy because he has a giant ego, is anti-semetic and just a plain d !ck.
DH likes him just fine and has no problem with him.
I also think he's gay...but that's another story. He is marrying a woman.
So my utter dislike for this guy, and my love for my DH and the fact that I can't get out of this wedding unless I'm dead is driving me nuts.
I just have to s u c k it up. I don't want to! Waaaaaaa!

now that's an idea..let DH drive and tell him he is the DD..
he won't like that too much but he'll have to do it for me.

I think it's a custom in certain cultures. I'm not sure, but it's on the bride's side. I think it's a lovely tradition.

Use it as an excuse to look extra fabulous for the day !!

i was gonna say the same thing about REALLY taking advantage of the open bar! hopefully the day will go REALLY fast for ya!
we have a wedding like this coming up this summer- our group of friends HATES the bride ( shes the definition of a b****) and we're all whining about having to go and give them a gift, too.... but, it'll be an excuse to drink a lot
