This heartburn...

Stinks!

I couldn't sleep last night and it drove me crazy all day... I'm popping Tums like freaking candy. I have no idea what to eat anymore, everything scares me that it will make the burn worse.

I honestly feel like my throat is having a hole burned through it - there's no way this can be healthy to have that much constant reflux. In fact on top of that for some reason lately when I drink water sometimes (and rather frequently) I'm choking on it. So I was violently coughing before which killed my stomach muscles and now my throat feels totally ripped apart. I'm sure the baby aspirin I have to take for the blood clotting stuff isn't making it better either.

Is there any relief? Cereal with milk before bed was helpful, now not as much. It's just constant. I also sleep on a pillow wedge so I'm elevated. I feel like I'm doing everything your supposed to, but the HB is stubborn!

I take Zantac and it works much better than Tums.

OMG I know what you mean I had it so bad(ACID REFLUX) that my Gyno had to send me to a speacilist they had to put me on Prevacid it was okay for a while..(just okay) now the bigger I get I feel worse with the hearthburn try not to eat and go right to bed. Oh and I know the feeling with the choking on the water! Hang in there!

I was having serious issues with heartburn....

I was waking 3 or 4 times a night to take my tums, and it was driving me nuts cuz this was on top of my waking 3 or 4 times a night to go to the restroom....

I have begun taking Zantac 150, and I must say.... the past 3 nights have been w/o incident!

I strongly suggest trying it! I do still use my Tums during the day, but the nighttime was my biggest issue since sleep has been so elusive anyway.....

Nope...there is no relief. I live on Tums and Mylanta and nothing is working.

I called the doctor today b/c I just couldn't take it anymore. They suggested taking Malox in addition to Tums. It seemed to do okay. Hope it lasts... I'll only take it when needed whereas the Tums I take everyday for the calcium.
