Scraped and bleeding paw!
Yesterday at my parent's house, Lilly scraped the paw pad that's higher up on her front leg (is there a technical term for that?) It didn't bleed yesterday - the blood came to the surface, but never came through the skin. She did have some pieces of skin that were hanging off and scraped.
Today, I just noticed that this pad is actually bleeding (it got all over our beige couch) Is there a way to bandage it? She's not licking at it or limping or anything. We tried bandaging it with gauze and tape, but she didn't like that too much - kept pulling at the tape.
What can we do for her? She has a vet visit tomorrow evening to get her stitches out - poor pup has been through a lot in the past few weeks!

Re: Scraped and bleeding paw!
You can put triple antibiotic creme. I am not sure if you can get a bandage to stick, but if you have gauze you can wrap it & put tape on it.
This used to happen to Fascinus all the time. Once his pads grew their callouses it stopped.
Hope she feels better!

Re: Scraped and bleeding paw!
When Misty ripped her nail off the emergency vet bandaged it and then put one of those elastic tape wraps halfway up her leg...it took her two days to get it off and by then the nail bed had healed.

Re: Scraped and bleeding paw!
More than likely she will rip off whatever you put on..I would opt for the cream/ointment and keep her off concrete.
