FURNITURE: How may peices fit in your Nursery?
Its me again with another furniture question.
Last night we were measuring the room and trying to decide if the furniture fits. I love the look of an armoire, but afriad I might not hang as much as I would folding. And like the functionality of a chest.
If I got all the peices: crib, changing unit w/hutch, 5 drawer chest, armoire--would it be over bearing--the room measures 7ft x 14ft?
I could put a piece in the hallway which is outside of the nursery.
....oh wait I forgot the chair!
edited to add: there's no closet.

I haven't yet measured what will fit but I only intend on putting the crib, dresser with changing pad on top, small table/nightstand and chair with a light. We have a pretty decent sized closet in there. The room is about 12x14.

I'm not going to have a nursery. We have a 1 bedroom apartment and want to stay here as long as possible. I'm leaving our queen size bed and adding crib...armoire...combo/hutch and maaaaybe 1 of my dressers. I don't know if it's going to fit yet.

we have a small nursery. We don't want to overcrowd it so we are ordering the crib and a six drawer dresser which will serve as the changing table. The room has a huge double closet with shelving and hanging space so we don't need that much other storage. I would like to also fit the glider in the room too.

We had a crib, dresser with changing pad on top, glider with ottoman, bookcase and toy chest. With them sharing a room for the first year or so the room will have a crib, twin bed, dresser, glider with ottoman and either the bookcase or the toy chest.

Re: FURNITURE: How may peices fit in your Nursery?
Our nursery is similiar in size to yours, 8 x 12. The short walls can't be used for furniture (one has a window, the other has the entrance and a closet). We are going to have the crib, a large upholstered glider, a dresser to be used as a changing table, and a book case.

We went with a crib, rocker/recliner, dresser/changing table with hutch and a 6-drawer chest.
I think the room is 12x14.

Couldn't vote, we're not doing a changing station. We have the crib, a double dresser (changing pad on top), the glider, a toy chest, loveseat and nightstand.
