OK REALLY annoyed now

So, first I have to wait THREE days for my DH's SA results. Nurse called on a Mon. left a message at my house, I tried calling her back for 3 days after that. Then finally, a covering nurse called me and said "So, yea your best bet is IVF w. ICSI have a nice day"..real casual.

THEN I get ready to go to my consult today with the doctor and they call me to cancel my appt. The receptionist says the doctor will call me tonight at 7pm. It is now 7:30.

I AM NOT GETTING ANY ANSWERS AND THAT'S ALL I WANT .....THIS IS HARD ENOUGH AS IS!!!!!!!

I'm sorry. Maybe you should consider seeing a new RE if you are not happy with this one. Why was your appointment canceled?

I will say , in hopes of making you feel better and some prespective that i had to wait over 10 day to 2 weeks for my DH's SA...so 3 days is quite good.

Then as far as the Dr is concerned. Give them some credit. Imagine if a patient needed their time in the office..imagine if YOU were that patient and he cut you short to call someone back? KWIM?

The Re's see soooooo many patients, you really have to have quite a bit of patience with this whole IF experience.

I foudn out the hard way after I lost my mind stressing sooo much. To realize nothing changed, I was still stressed, situation wa sthe same.

Try to stay calm...will make things easier.

Jen - I'm really surprised how RMANJ is handling your case! Can you request another nurse? Is the Morristown office too inconvienent for you? Remember, you are going to have to go to Morristown for your retrieval and transfer, since that is the only place they do them. So you'd really only have to go to the office you are at for your morning bloodwork and sono's. See if you can switch doctors and nurses, and meet with one of the docs in Morristown. I've had nothing but an extreamly positive experience with them so far, and my nurse is wonderful! We always have our results within a few hours.

Update:

My dr. called me at 8 and was really nice and apologetic. I was panicking and getting annoyed but I needed to calm down.

She is sending my DH to a male infertility urologist because she thinks he still may have a blockage. We are going to get that checked out before we proceed to anything as intense as IVF.

I'm glad the doctor called and was apologetic. Nothing like a doctor calling late and not thinking your time is as valuable as theirs.
