UGH!!!
I CAN'T STAND IT when people come into your home and do nothing but complain about you but don't offer to do anything to fix it!!!  My mom and my dad have been arguing more-so lately than usual. My brother works w/ my dad and hears him complain all the time about this. So he shows up at my mom's house tonight while I'm there and SITS on his butt there for over an hour complaining about my mom and how she's treating my dad and how she doesn't do enough around her house.... blah blah blah. My mom works full time, same as my dad. He's away all week b/c he works in Queens so he's only out on the weekends usually.
I won't go any more into it but honestly if you're taking the time out of your schedule to come over to complain and argue, at least try to make up a plan with her or help her get something accomplished, instead of just upsetting her... I wanted to strangle him. Then he brings me into it- meanwhile DH and I are the ONLY ones that ever offer to help them, and when we do all my dad does is complain to the point that you're sorry you volunteered.  Vent over.

Thanks -DH and I just got back from going out to dinner w/ my mom and grandma. I think it cheered us both up and I updated DH on what happened. He's kind of speechless, which is very unlike him. I'm hoping he'll have more of a conversation with me now that my mom and grandma are home and it's just the 2 of us....
