Re: Does anyone still tan?
For the same reason you can't go in a hot tub - it overheats your system, you cannot go in a tanning bed.

It's not good. It will overheat you. Anything that will cause mommy's temperture to elivate is not good for baby

Re: Does anyone still tan?
I have not been tanning in yeeeeeeeears.
It can't be good for your body, system and baby. I'd also be concerned about what it might do to your skin (causeing a pregnancy mask), not to mention the cons of tanning in general.

Re: Does anyone still tan?
i do...ill go every 10-14 days or so, just to maintain a little glow....i got the okay from my dr the first pregnancy when i was going to florida when i was 28 weeks and didnt want to burn when i was down there...he said, "im not going to tell you it is good for YOUR skin, but as far as the baby, you are safe"...and i went to sunny florida and key largo, where it was 80-90 degrees, and hannah is fine...and i am 25 weeks with #2, NOT going to florida, but again, i go every couple weeks...it is a 10 minute tan, and i do not get overheated or anything...i get more overheated working out or taking a shower...so if u want to go, go....UV isnt penetrating your uterus or anything like that...

Re: Does anyone still tan?
Besides all the known reasons that its bad for you, I think tanning is risky during pregnancy. Plus what if you do get the pregnancy mask? yuck. Self tanners are so advanced these days I would think that would be a better way to go.
