not preggo but i have a name question.
My mom passed away 5 yrs ago and before she passed she aked me to name my daughter after her. Well I wound up having a son. Anyway, we are eventually going to have another one and if its a girl I fell obligated to name her after my mom. Also, I went to a psychic medium recently and the medium told me that the next baby was going to be a girl and that my mom keeps telling her that I must name the baby after her. My mom named me after my Grandma.
Anyway the issue is that my mom's name was Bernadette Elizabeth. Now while I dont hate the name completely (I actually like Elizabeth more). Im not 100% loving the name although the meaning behing the name is what is getting me. I feel like its a no win situation because I would feel guilty not naming her Bernadette but i would hate to not LOVE the actual name that I give my child. This is all hypothetical being that I am not preggo and dont even know if the next one will be a girl but what do think?
Honestly do you like the name Bernadette or would it not be the same if I switched the names to Elizabeth Bernadette?

Before you recommended it and I was reading your post, I was going to suggest Elizabeth Bernadette. I think its very pretty and it would be naming her after your mom.

I love Bernadette because you could use the nickname Bernie. I love nicknames like that.

i am sure when your Dd is born and you hold her for the firs time, you will feel your Mother by your side. i think you should do what's in your heart. You mom will love your DD no matter what and will be watching over her. Although Bernandette is on the Birth Cert. you can always call her by her middle name......Elizabeth.

Honestly, I would switch the names. I think just the fact that you're using both names would mean a lot to your mom. I don't think it makes a difference which way they go.

I think naming your daughter Elizabeth Bernadette would have just as much meaning and it would the original way.
