Do you think it is necessary...
to "layer" when you use fragrances. I love using perfume "sets" and I love using the scented creme and then apply the perfume, do you think it helps to keep the scent better?

I don't think I've ever layered the same scent in my entire life. 
I always viewed perfume sets as just marketing, not because both a lotion and EDT/Parfum are necessary at the same time.
I have worn BBW lotions with a different fragrance, but that's because I like BBW's lotions. I so wish they would sell an unscented lotion!!!

I wear Marc Jacobs and I just got Marc Jacobs Daisy, but I didn;t get the creme so I am deciding if it is necessary.

i do think it makes the scent last longer. i don't get the body lotion, shower gel etc for all of my fragrances. just for my favorites! i have about 4 different scents that i rotate

I agee, I decided to buy Daisy loton and it totally makes a difference. Today I noticed the scent stayed much longer and people commented how good I smelled.

Not always, but I definitely do it wth FRESH products....
Before they discontinued  fleurs de chocolat...I used the moisturizer + shay butter + perfume b/c the perfume wore off very quickly on it's own.
