what is considered a full-term pregnancy? I keep hearing different things...

I was always told 38 weeks. My 3rd baby was a scheduled c/s and they WOULD NOT schedule me for one day earlier than 38 weeks.

I was induced at 37.5 weeks and DD was considered full-term.

37wks is considered full term however very rarely 37wk newborn can have some issues because their lungs did not completely mature and/or other issues associated with prematurity so that is why if it is an elective c/s they wait a little longer for the baby to cook to reduce the chance of any issues.
In my hospital scheduled c/s are not scheduled before 39wks unless medically necessary.

37 weeks. I had my son at 37 weeks - thankfully and he was 7lbs. 12ozs. completely healthy, no problems breathing or eating. He didn't have to stay any longer than necessary.
