Can anyone wear
any color makeup and pull it off? Or are there certain colors that everyone should steer clear of based on their own coloring? Mainly for eyeshadow and lipstick...
I have a hard time choosing my colors and if I buy online, I worry that the colors will look silly on me.

You mean like the crazy aquas and stuff like that? But for subtle colors, can everyone wear everything?

Re: Can anyone wear
i think for the most part if you go with neutrals - yes. but certain colors look better on certain skin tones.... for instance -- i think pinks look better on me than peaches, but a colleague of mine rocks the peaches and looks awesome. if i knew, i would explain the why. unfortunatley i don't. she and i have similar coloring, i just have lighter hair.
i have often wanted to find someone who did a makeup class to teach me what looked best on me and application techniques. i don't know if they exist, but i think it would be a great idea and fun!

Re: Can anyone wear
I think certain neutrals look better on certain skintones. Maybe try a MAC counter and see what colors they suggest as a starting point?
I am very fair and look awful in peachy tones...But one of my good friends is darker and looks great in peaches, not so good in pinks.
With eye shadow I think the same thing...I use white as a base because it is so close to my skin color, but someone else may choose tan as a base. And certain colors play up your eye color to make them pop.
