Jewish ladies, I need some help
My DH is Jewish & every year at the anniversary of his dad's death, my DH's grandmother gave him a candle to light. Well, his grandmother recently passed a couple of months ago & now we are approachng the 10 yr anniversary of DH's dad's death & she is not around to give him the candle. Does anyone else do this? Where can I get this candle?

It is called a Yarzheit Candle and I believe a lot of supermarkets sell them. If not, I would probably call a local synagogue and see if you can purchase one through them.

I have a ton in my pantry - I get them at the supermarket.

Yup, as Michal and Leslie said, you can get them at the supermarket.

Re: Jewish ladies, I need some help
Thank you ladies! DH's grandmother used to get them at the synogogue where she used to work but I didn't know they sold them there.
Which supermarkets sell them? Sorry, I am so clueless but I really want to get him this candle especially since the one person who used to give it to him is no longer around.

I guess it depends on the area but I've seen them at the Stop and Shop in Woodbury and Shop Rite in Plainview. It should be near the Kosher area.
