So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
There's no snow here, just rain in Long Beach. Had a feeling that would happen, but hey, I'm certainly not complaining! Don't want to be late on my first day at a new job!!

here too in Queens. DH said there was snow in the middle of the night, guess the rain washed it away.

I let the dog out in the middle of the night and it was sleeting - but it's rain again!

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
I had a light coating of snow on my windshield, but the wipers took it all off in one swipe. That's what I figured. Weather.com said the temp would never go below freezing, and the ground is pretty warm from the warm weather we've been having lately. I knew it wasn't going to stick.
BTW, Congrats and good luck on the new job!

We just had rain in Holbrook. It definitely wasn't cold enough for snow by us.

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
Overnight up here (hudson valley) we got about 2 inches....now its coming down in big flakes again and its heavy. My car that DH cleaned for me this morning is covered again. And my school only has a 2 hour delay so I have to drive in this.

We have a coating on the grass. That's it. When the reporters "Hype it up" I always say "I will believe it when I see it". I try not to get my hopes up anymore.

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
I had an inch or two of snowy, wet mess. Cleaned off my car, shoveled the driveway so it won't freeze over to ice if the temps drop, and drove my son to school!

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
Nope. Nada. But we never get any snow here in the DC area. All we would need is abt 6-9" and the entire city and Fed. Gov't would shut down. They freak out at frost here.

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
I'm in the middle of a blizzard! (MA) It started about 7AM and we're expected to get 8-10 inches.
No busses on the road this morning. Except my DH He's driving home from Boston now. I hate it when he has to drive in this mess.

Port Jefferson Station and mostly rain. Tiny bit of wet snow early this morning. DD was totally aggravated and tried to get me to let her stay home anyway. It did not work!

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
We got 4-6 inches in CT. We also lost power from 7am - 1:30 pm. Almost every school across the state was closed.

Re: So did anyone actually get "a storm"?
We got a bit of a storm in RI--about 5 inches, and it was reallly really heavy snow...lots of trees with broken branches, lots of wires down
We had to work today but all schools across the state were closed. The roads were real nasty this morning, but the main roads are clear now, and the side roads are horrendous.
