Can I eat...
fresh mozzarella even if it is pasterized? My doctor said cheeses are fine, as long as the packaging says pasterized.

I thought so too but I think I read something on here about cheeses in water and the higher chance of bacterial growth. Not sure how true it is.

Re: Can I eat...
My doctor told me that even fresh mozzarella that is pasturized could be harmful. She suggested that I stay away from it unless it is cooked.

I've never heard that and have eaten plenty of it since I was comfortable with the fact that it was pasteurized. Guess I will avoid it for the next 3 months!

Re: Can I eat...
not PG yet, but my RE told me to stay away from fresh mozzarella, because of the bacteria (safe to most people) that is known to grow in the "juice" that keeps it fresh.
