I met with my ob/gyn today
I meant this post for this board, not TTC...
I don't know, he's like a father figure to me - I truly love and adore this man and wanted his opinion on everything.
He told me that the RE I'm seeing is the best in our county and has the best reputation for getting women pregnant, and that she's the one he recommends all his patients to.
He agreed with her assessment - that if two post-coitals show hostile CM, it's a pretty reliable indication that this is our impediment, and suggested that we consider IUI when we're ready.
So, we came home, I held a nice little pity party for myself, cried for about 10 minutes, and sat down to talk to DH, who, thankfully, has come around. He told me he doesn't want to see me go through this stress, and that he's willing to do whatever I feel comfortable doing, whether that means IUI next week, or 6 months from now.
So, I told him I want to do two more natural cycles. If, by April, nothing has happened, we're going to move straight into IUI. In the meantime, I'll be hoping and wishing to highwater that the mucinex is enough to surpass our hostile CM issues!

I hope the mucinex works for you! If not, at least you have another option! I'll keep you in my thoughts. Good luck!

I hope it happens naturally for you Beth because I know in your heart that's what you really want. I am so glad to hear that DH came around, I'm sure that is such a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.

if hostile CM is truly your only issue, and it seems like it is, then i really do think that the mucinex will help. lots of for you this month!!!

Im so glad your DH came around. I know how hard it is to make peace with a process that is not natural - that is the hardest part for me to this day. However, you will do what you have to do to create another child, I also admire that you are giving you and your DH a chance to let things happen naturally. I hope that you both have that little miracle and that you won't need the IUI at all.

Yes, after learning that our issue is hostile CM, this month (last week) I used pre-seed and mucinex for 5 days in a row during my fertile days, so we'll see what happens. I also used evening primrose oil this month from AF to O. I'll try that for two more months, and then move to IUI.
