cramps and fluid intake

I read on another post that you can get cramping if you don't have enough water/fluids. I've never heard this before. I am only about 5-6 weeks and I've had some cramping since I got my BFP but it's only been on an off, maybe once per day, and it only lasts for about 1 minute. Could it be because of a lack of fluids?

Re: cramps and fluid intake

I think the cramps that you are describing are pretty normal and not related to fluid intake. I remember asking my doctor about it.

I think the cramps from lack of fluids are more like the type of cramps you might get if you are constipated.

The "normal" cramping is your uterus expanding. Chat Icon I don't know what dehydration cramping feels like.

What you are having sound like normal growing pains. It is important to drink your water try to get at least 6-8 glasses a day.

i wonder if you are thinking of 3rd trimester braxton hicks contractions? the doctor said if you are feeling to many, rest and drink more water.
