Have you ever loved & eaten something your whole life...
Then had a really BAD experience & never touched it or ate it again?
I had a really really bad experience with a cheeseburger about 2 weeks ago. The thought of eating it again makes me want to throw my guts up.
 I cant even look at one, smell one or fathom the thought of touching one.
I hope this goes away because its just not fair

Yes Chicken. I had a "chubby" piece and have not had it a very long time. But Im getting worse as I get older. I wont make eggs, they make me gag, and lately chopmeat is making me ill just looking at it. Poor DH has no food options left since I wont touch or cook certain things.

You're PG right? It may be an aversion that just is because of that. My friend was absolutely repulsed by cheese when she was PG.

Manicotti. (Or as I pronounce it...managaut)
I ate it at a party when I was 8. Got VIOLENTLY ill with the flu. Blamed it on the manicotti.
Didn't eat it again until last year...I was 33.

Golden Grahams.
I decided once in college it would be fun to snack on golden grahams instead of pretzles while we were drinking a variety of beverages.
When the beverages caught up to me, the Golden Grahams came back with avengence.
Haven't touched them since.

Out of nowhere about a year ago, I stopped eating eggs, I'll only have them now if they're boiled or in an omelet/scrambled. I am absolutely repulsed by the texture of a fried egg, and I used to eat them sunny-side up for over 20+ years!

One time I got sick the day after eating cheesecake...had nothing to do with the cheesecake- but I associated being sick with the cheesecake. I wasn’t able to eat it for years after that.
We actually talked about this in one of the psych classes I took in college- it’s called acquired taste aversion. All I know is I am glad I got over it… I LOVE cheesecake!!!

I have not touched or eaten a hotdog in about 12 years. My mother took my bro, sis, and I all to lunch one day at Nathan's. We came home and a couple hours later, I was soooooo sick. It hit me from no where.
Even the smell of a hotdog makes me gag.

yep..I used to eat watermelon all of the time...A few years ago, I ate a "bad" piece and was throwing up. I never touched it again
