Even scarier, a family friend was telling us that through his job he found out that people steal pics through Snapfish and Shutterfly and use them for greeting cards in other countries.Chat Icon

That should not be funny but that made me laugh. In Yemen my picture may be the one that comes in someones frame with 5x7 written in bold over it.

Re: Just a warning

If people really want to, they can steal photos from photo developing places, too (Walmart, 1 hour photo booths, drugstores, etc). If your photos ever leave your hands, there is the chance that someone has them that you don't want.

Also, if you ever leave your house, odds are that someone/something is taking your photo, and it's totally legal. Security cameras, people innocently taking pictures of something else as you walk in front of them, red-light cameras, etc.

In today's society, there really is no "anonymity". Your photo could be anywhere, and there's not much you can do about it. I just don't stress about it, and live my life as safe as I can without going insane.

Re: Just a warning

Its wrong, but I personally wouldn't live in fear over it. People have been stealing photos for years. People used to do it from photo places, now over the internet.

If they want a picture of me, they can have it.
What are they going to do? Photoshop a naked body on it? Chat Icon

while that may be true, I don't see the need to make it easy for them...that's why I don't post pics of anybody anywhere.

People are nuts!
