Some people have no shame
we went to best buy tonight to look at digital cameras. most of them i couldn't turn on. i try to find a sales person to see if they could help. they said if there's no cable they can't turn them on. dh sees i'm getting disgusted. he knows its not best buy's fault. they told us that the customers are taking the cables. but dh found one with a cable. we got a 12MP. he said the camera should last a while without us needing to upgrade. the camera has a rechargeable battery.

My mom has a Fuji finepix and it's really really good. you will like it!
I like it better than the Nikon Coolpix FH just got me. Shhhh

when i go look, i just take the cable off the one next to it, and put it in the camera i want to look at. I actually had to show the salesman how to do that..
eta: Just to make clear: I did not steal cable, just put on camera i wanted to look at and left it there.

That is just really wrong. Enjoy your camera! My last camera had rechargeable batteries and I loved it! I would just store extra batteries in my camera case and I never had to worry about my battery dying.

this camera has a rechargeable battery. do u like the rechargeable batteries?

you know, it is best buy's fault. They have security all over the place. When you shop there you are always on some security screen. If they can't control it and don't want to replace the cables, then I would take my business somewhere else.
Glad you got a nice camera though and sorry you had that frustration.
