Unbelievable.
Heres a conversation I just had with some lady who stepped by my desk asking me where someone is...
Lady:
"Hi Wheres Joe"
Me
"Hes out sick today"
Lady:
"Oh okay- Do you expect him back later?"
Me
"I doubt it... Hes out sick today."
Lady:
"Oh hes out the whole day?"
Me
"Yes he is"
Lady
"Will he be back Monday?"
Me
"I really dont know. I'm sure if hes feeling better he will"
Lady:
"Well how long will he be out for?"
Me
"I couldn't tell ya"
Lady:
"Okay- Well if he comes in later, can you please hand this over to him?"
Me
"I would love to, but I dont think he will be in the office later. I'm not his assistant, so I really dont want to be responsible for anything - Just come back Monday"
Lady
"What if hes not back by Monday?"
Me
Lady:
The phone rang at this point. , She walks over to Joes desk and puts something there. After I got off the phone I walk over to his desk to see what it was. It was a memo that says "Confidential". She placed it right smack on top of his keyboard for the world to see. Then she attached a yellow post it note (written with a yellow highlighter) that said... Joe- Please call me by 4:00pm today (1/4/08)
Does anyone else see anything wrong with this??

Ohhh I have that conversation with people quite often. I'm a receptionist in a real estate office & our agents come & go as they please. I never know when they will be in, but explaining that doesn't stop anyone asking at least 10 times in a call "What time will he be in tomorrow?" or "Will he come in later today?"
