Back from my Dr's appt. too!
I've been in the WORST mood all day long, but going to the doc has definitely cheered me up (for a change). Instead of being there for 2 hours like always, I was only there for 40 minutes and the best part - I'm 70% effaced and 1 to 2 cm dialated!!!  I was so happy when he told me I could cry. I think if he said I made no progress at all I would have.
My doc says I'm 37w5d but that's because he tacked 2 extra days on at the beginning, but I say I'm 38w today based on my LMP and that's what I'm sticking to. He offered to strip my membranes but it was such a good visit I didn't want to mess it up by causing myself pain so I told him to wait until next week.
I'm gonna have a BABY soon! woohoo!

I'm not exactly sure what it is. I've only read about it on here and my doc gave me this very technical explanation that I couldn't repeat if I tried, but it involves the doc doing something inside to your cervix. I know from reading this board for years that it is usually a little painful but it can get things moving along.
