Help me decide, because I am very indecisive this afternoon

In january, DH, myself, his sister and her husband, his brother and our niece, my mom and dad and his mom and dad are all supposed to go on a surprise cruise for DH's 30th birthday.
In the past few weeks life has changed a bit and both SIL and I got pregnant and DH's dad had a heart attack.
Would YOU still go on the cruise or would you postpone for a year? more than a year?

Depends on the FIL's health. And if he can go or not. If he can and wants to....

I would go....
IMO you have soooooooo much to celebrate right now
you and sil being PG and your fil's health etc.

Next year you will have a little one that you may not want to part with !

I think you should still go especially cause you are pregnant-- you and your DH should try to go away sometime before the baby comes and early enough when you are not too uncomfortable.. It seems that everyone I know does something like this-- taking some time to be with each other before the baby comes.. I think it's important.

You might want to re-jigger the plans a little-- is your FIL able to travel-- maybe a cruise is not the best idea.. Maybe it's a long weekend somewhere, etc. Pick the best option that works with your life changes.

Plus it might be a while before you are going to go on a vaca

As long as you think your FIL will be well enough to enjoy the cruise, I would TOTALLY go

I would not even factor in that you and SIL are PG, since as the other ladies have said, this might be your last chance in some time to take a REALLY nice vacation as a group. Once bambino/bambina comes along, it gets more difficult (but so worth it )

Its not an easy decision, but I would try to go for it as long as you are all feeling well

I think you should go but ask around and see how everyone feels. A good vacation could be quite good for everyone, relaxing, etc.

I totally agree with going away before having a baby (we have not had that chance). I wish we did

If you don't go on the cruise, at least go away somewhere. I think it will be very beneficial for everyone involved.

Everyone's health permitting - if it were me, I'd still go. Especially because you're pregnant. It's not that you can't go on a cruise with a little one or leave him/her behind - it's that it's so much more difficult to do either once you have a baby, toddler, child.

Deb - I know you've been planning this surprise for a long time and I think you should go for it!! As long as your FIL is up to it, I definitely think you should go. Like everyone else is saying, after the baby is born, who knows the next time you will go on a vacation! It will be a great time and nice to relax and not worry about anything!

I would go. If you are all in good health now, and are able to travel go. Value what you have now, because it is not always promised for the future.

Deb if the doctor gives FIL the thumbs up you most def SHOULD GO, especially now that you guys are not really showing or uncomfortable!!!!

Have a great time!!! and who cares about the excursions, most of the time they are a waste of money, you can get a taxi and travel that port on your own!
