Question for all of the , ahem, italian women...
Or anyone who uses a cream to remove facial hair. o
A friend of mine's doctor told her she cannot use the cream to remove her upper lip hair she needs to pluck it . I asked my doctor tonight, he looked at the ingredients and said it was fine to use. I am going to use it but was just wondering.
Anyone have any feedback. Its not the bleach but the actual chemical one that removes the hair.
I use Avon, she uses Sally Hansen but I cant imagine the ingredients being much diff.
TIA

I never actually asked my dr because I always read that you shouldnt use it...so I just get the lip waxed. I go to the dr today so I guess I will ask since it will be alot easier for me to just do it.

Re: Question for all of the , ahem, italian women...
I looked into it because I wanted to use the Sally Hansen stuff on my legs in lieu of shaving (oooooh soft skin), and it supposedly isn't on your skin long enough to have a big enough impact to be dangerous for the baby. I am no doctor, but that is what I read. Part of the explanation was that topical medications and stuff of that nature take a while to get into your bloodstream and do their job and the hair removal cream is on for 4 minutes or something like that, so it really isn't on their long enough to even worry about it. This explanation lets me wash my face with whatever the hell I want also, which my doctor concurred with. HTH!

I had my upper lip waxed...only downside, your skin is so much more sensitive when preggo, I would cry a little

I just skipped all the creams when I got pregnant and get my lip and eyebrows waxed instead. And yes, I do tear up a bit...

I have been waxing at home using the Sally Hensen "Exclusive Brazilian Formula." It works very well, it's easy to use, and so far I have not had any extra pain.
I am 20 weeks. I don't know if the extra pain will come later.

I am not prego but I'm responding b/c I am Jewish and Greek and an EXPERT in the removal of superfluous hair. I would check just to make sure that it is safe, but electrolosys is chemical free and has worked nicely for me. Its $$$$$$$, but permanent and I don't think it could be harmful to a fetus.....just be sure to double check.
