Need ideas..

For a special baby gift, boy related.

My bro and SIL just had another baby last night. For their first kid, we got all of these great books-- like a library for my niece from babyhood to college-- like, from baby books, up to Judy Blume and Wuthering Heights, etc. (it was a girl).

Here's the thing, they live in Colorado- and I either have to ship this gift, or bring it on a plane in 8 weeks.

I could do the same thing for the boy-- but I feel like there are less boy focused books-- and the original gift cost a ton to ship, and it's not feasible to bring on a plane either.

I want something personalized and special-- and also comparable to the book gift. Help!

What about a collection of music? CDs that you think are classics, from lullabyes to stuff that you and DH enjoyed or related to in high school and college.

Buy them a star from the star registry? a pampers giftcard or service to get diapers...scrapbook already made, ready for pictures...

There is a book in Borders called "Daring Boys" or something like that. I thumbed through it and wished I hadn't already done all my christmas shopping. I'd do the books and add this one.
