Anyone here have PCOS?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and am going to start TTC.

I was wondering what your experience was like, if you don't mind sharing details..

I need inspiration to know that I can do this

I was diagnosed when I was 19 and when I asked about getting pregnant I was blown off by my old dr. I went on the pill and on my merry way. Then, after my DH and I got married and were ready to ttc I went off the pill and never got af. So, I went to the dr and he wanted to medicate me with metformin. I did some research and found that this may not be what I needed (he didn't know since he never tested my insulin and glucose). I changed drs and my sugar and glucose were fine, so I tried clomid for 8 months. I felt tortured because I never ovulated. Many people I know have had success on clomid, but not me. So, I moved onto an RE. After working on borderline thyroid and insulin bloodwork results (with synthroid and metformin afterall), we moved onto IVF. The RE felt I would be a good responder the injectibles, so he did not want to waste a cycle of IUI (because of too many eggs leading to multiples). We did IVF around Easter and it failed. We had been able to freeze some embryos, so we attempted a FET in early July and one of the two embryos stuck! We are due in March.

Hang in there and know that there is no one protocol for PCOS because it is really just a name for a collection of symptoms. These symptoms could be caused by different things in different people.
