Cleaning out my drawers and armoire

My goal is 8 bags to goodwill.

How come big brothers and sisters don't call back?Chat Icon

I really hate this job but I do it every year.

Ugh...good luck!

Would you like to come over to my house and do my closet next?

WOW I wish I had 8 bags of clothes to keep or donate. That's a lot of loot.

Good luck, sounds like a big job.

You would be surprised how it accumulates. I am downsizing my furniture in the bedroom and looking to keep only what fits. I am parting with some clothes that I was hoping I woujld fit into again soon. It's been 2 years...I haven't lost the weight yet, so when I do I will buy some new stuff.

I also need to buy some new stuff that fits so one of the reasons for going through everything is to make sure I don't buy too much. Only what I need.

I freecycle alot of old clothes, no receipt for donation but the stuff usually goes directly to people who really need & wear it rather than sell it to rag companies & use the money toward their cause.

I looked into that. I usually need the tax deduction and Goodwill re-sells the clothes at their store. I drop it at the Merrick location.

I do the same thing. I bag a bunch of stuff for goodwill 2x a year, when I switch out my winter and summer wardrobes.

Re: Cleaning out my drawers and armoire

I still bag it and donate it. It's clean and I would rather not throw it out. If they don't use it, fine. Personally I could never buy used underwear but I see people selling that stuff on ebay!!!

Some of my underwear and bras still have tags..i either decided they didn't fit right after all or outgrew them.
