ok so here is what happened my mom bought my DD 3 video games and a shirt and a pair of pants from Sears so DD didnt want the clothes otr 1 video game so yesterday we went to the Bayshore Sears and returned them so today she opened 1 of the other games and it says compatible with Wii but it didnt work so i call up Hicksville Sears and they say no problem come in and we will give you cash back well I get there and the guy says I will return the unopened one but give store credit for the opened one ....so I explain I spoke to ("BILL") and he said you would give me cash so he says well Bill has no authority I have to call a manager etc so the manager says go ahead give cash so he takes my stuff and receipts and gives them to BILL and says here take care of this
well when he scanned my receipt it says all the video games have been returned already
well obviously the woman who did the return yesterday messed up because the clthes are showing that I still have them well to make a long story short they told me that I have to go back to Bay Shore since they messed up and they arent "dealing" with this
so then I call corporate and get the same snotty attitude about going all the way back to Bayshore
well I bought all my major appliances from there and its such a shame they just lost all my future business over $25

Ugh!!
My husband has been battling with Sears for 6 months about our w/d. He has gotten the state's attorney involved and might go to small claims court.
All over $200!!!! Sears!! WAKE UP!

SEARS is ridiculous !! we've had too many incidents with them!
they opened and reopened accounts under my DHs name when his account was on fraud alert due to identity theft. they even mailed a new card to some address in another state
i have a few SEARS stories.
sorry this happened. I hope it gets resolved.

It is such a shame, really. The employees are unfortunately bound by the rules set by corporate, and since they merged with KMart they have altered their policies greatly. Sears used to give their managers/employees a lot more freedom regarding returns & customer service issues, but now.....forget it.
