Who owns this coat?

Do you ever wake up and find random clothing in your home?

Today I woke up and saw a (ugly) coat I have never seen before in my life thrown over the top of our guest room door. I was thinking did DH bring some random person home to sleep over (which he has never done before but who owns this random coat). I was happy to find no one was in the guest room. I asked DH who owned it and he said he did.

His friend bought a race horse and had coats made up and gave one to DH. Is a horse not enough you need a ugly coat to go with it. I swear I will not leave the house with him if he is wearing that thing.

Other little gems he has picked up along the way is a semi used scarf, a previously loved zip up sweat shirt and a blue bath towel. Did I marry a gypsy. Why is he bringing this home? we have enough sweatshirts, scarves and towels already.

He works in a pub and said his cutomers give him these things. I worked in a pub for many years and was given lots of stuff but never a old shirt or a towel . Seriously who brings a bath towel to the bar with them?

Is this a man thing?

Does he just really like free stuff?

My mom always complained that my dad would pick up screws, bolts and even broken sprinkler heads in a aprking lot. She would find them in his pockets and a small pile would always be at the side of the washing machine. I think I would prefer the screws and bolts over the charitable donations Dh seems to think we need.

DH owns a bar and he comes home with random clothing all the time!! although he did score a nice kenneth cole coat once

Better that he pick up clothing to bring home than random people.
