Did you get regifted that you know of???

my step-brother works for an advertising agency and gets some really nice stuff frmo his clients. well, tiffany & co. sent him 2 champagne glasses. he called me and told me all about them about 2 weeks ago. yesterday i open up oour gift from him and i see the infamous blue box. i open the box and they are the champagne glasses, the exact ones he described to me that he got as a gift from tiffany. he said " i saw them in the tiffany store and thought you guys would love them" i guess that he forgot he told me isn't that funny

Well my MIL gets a ton of gifts from co-workers (she's a school secretary so lots of teachers show their appreciation)

This year from her I got 4 pieces of Mikasa serveware (platter, candy dish, candlesticks and bowl)

From one of my own co-workers I totally was regifted this UGLY itch wool scarf and skull cap pair...blech. And a set of missioni rip-off designed sachets.

But I regifted this year too so I cant say anything

Not this year but last year I used to babysit for a family. For Christmas I received Tiffany planner. it was in a blue box and when I opened it I made a big deal about it being from Tiffany. The mom went on about hiw important to them and she trusts me with her kids blah blah blah so she wanted to get me something nice.

Well a few days later I brought the planner to the Tiffany store because I figured I would rather get a bracelet or something. I go to return it and the sales lady opens up the box and does a snotty laugh. She then informed me I could nto return the planner. I said why not and she said "you can't return items you didn't pay for. This planner was a complimentary gift sent out to our top clients." I was bright red and could not stop laughing. My cousin was with me and the three of us (my cousin, my dignity and I) could not get out of that store fast enough.

It must be Tiffany thing

My sister-in-law totally gave me back a Pier One gift card I had given her the year before. I went online to see how much it was worth because it wasn't in a little holder or anything, and saw it was purchased at my local store on the day I bought it for her a year prior

She has a baby and is really busy so she is forgiven.

I gave my dh's grandparents a nice dessert platter one year...the next year, we got the same platter back as their gift to us!! We never said a word...good thing i always like the gifts i give so i don't mind getting them back!

i didn't get anything regifted (mostly $ and stuff I picked out) but I did give some regifts.

you'd never know though - as part of a goodie bag at an industry function i got a full-sized bottle of brooks brothers cologne in its box and plastic wrap. we gave it to FIL.
